Pre-war, elegant Warsaw, the Olympic arena in Amsterdam and the wilderness of eastern Poland. The action takes place on two time planes: the dramatic evacuation of the reserves of the Bank of Poland is supplemented by flashbacks, in which the most important events in the life of the main character will be introduced.
